Geriatric Unit - Life Half Over 12" OLD FAST LOUD! – GERIATRIC UNIT burst onto the scene as a band in 2006 – although not as individuals – as the collective members of GU have been there from the beginning of the UKHC scene and through past endeavours in HERESY, HARD TO SWALLOW, MEATFLY and IRON MONKEY to name a few have the kind of thoroughbred hardcore pedigree which means people had to take notice!And indeed they did – akin to how fast and furious their recordings are, so is the speed of the songwriting and releasing!! The band released their debut “NUCLEAR ACCIDENTS” 12”/CD on various European labels inc Violent Change in the UK (copies of the CD are also available from us), moving over to Boss Tuneage for the follow up “LIFE HALF OVER” 12”/CD in 2007, 2008 saw the Japanese only “KILL THE POSE” CD which combined the first two releases (we have copies of this too), followed by the “DISTANCE AND DAMAGE” LP/CD later that year.Late 2009 saw the “PERMETHRIN BLUES” CD (Vinyl version on La Vida Es Mus – in stock in our store).. and there’s another GU album in the pipeline for later this year too which promises to be every bit as good, if not better, than their current first rate collection of must own releases!!
