The young Helsinki power pop band Plastic Tones prefer to turn their backs on sadness and draw inspiration from vintage American guitar-based pop-rock in the vein of Blondie or Real Kids. This sunshine walk on the beach promenade under the palm trees is 6 tracks long and full of catchy choruses. Svart Records are happy, in an entirely un-Finnish way, to release the band’s new six-song mini album on vinyl. It’s available on CD as well, with the band’s two earlier EPs as bonus tracks.
