I think it’s safe to say that Canada is and always has been harboring some of the greatest punk/hardcore bands in the game. This record reiterates that notion and proudly carries the torch onward. Montreal’s BLEMISH unleashed these seven songs of sublimity on cassette via A WORLD DIVIDED TAPES back in September of 2021. Now, nearly a year later, NOT FOR THE WEAK RECORDS is excited to expand the housing of these tracks onto the well-deserving 12” vinyl format. While taking inspiration from a plethora of early 80’s UK punk, the band also reaches into their bag of influence, blending in a perfect amount of gothic/post punk elements. Vocals are at the forefront of this charge, leading you into a hypnotic state of psychosis while burning their enchanting melodies deep into your brain. Equally as hook driven is the guitar, backed up beautifully by bass and drums, gluing the entirety of the mix together, and adding up to the sensational sound we now know as…BLEMISH!!!
