CARDENALES "no pagues mas de 500 pts." 7"

CARDENALES formed in Madrid, the capital city for the darker sounds of 80s Iberian punk. This 7" is their second physical release, following last year's *Antipunkpop* cassette. It features five tracks, including a cover, showcasing a lineup change and a shift toward a darker sound, all while staying true to the essence of 80s Iberian punk. The characteristic southern sound found in bands like TNT, KGB, and CONSERVANTES ADULTERADOS (whom they cover) is infused with the darkness of fellow locals PARALISIS PERMANENTE or even DESECHABLES, all filtered through a homegrown punk sensibility that occasionally brings ESPASMODICOSS to mind. The record comes in a hand-assembled, two-color screen-printed sleeve in a purely manual, DIY endeavor that mirrors the band's approach to recording and their visual/graphic identity, and includes an A3 insert with the lyrics.
