Following a slew of cassette tapes released to nigh-on zero fanfare, Hunger have upped the stakes for their debut record. Ploughing the two-piece, bassless hardcore furrow with a better feel for a catchy beat and a memorable hook than many bands playing that game, this is more sore punk than raw punk.Each song reveals an unhealthy dose of frustration and resentment, with anguished repetition and cave-maniac drumming inching this flayed-bones racket into black metal territory at points. Feedback is employed as an instrument, battling disorientating trade-off vocals... as two men enter and one man leaves.
