Samling is the brainchild of singer songwriter Max Groundstroem whose mix of pop, rock and Swedish neo psychedelia have earned them a spot in the Scandinavian music scene. The music is known for its great hooks, melodies and groove, often using humor to lyrically explore feelings of isolation and estrangement.
The new album “Autisten” was produced over a five year period which had a strong influence on the overall sound and feel of the record. With time comes also change and new experiences, which can be confusing if the goal is a sonically and lyrically consistent album. But by embracing that the songs will have their own personality came a sense of liberation which enabled Max to creatively explore a broader range of songs and genres.
