Shaved for battle - Still hated & proud LP

Ok, the band’s name, the title of the album and the artwork are dripping with american skinhead clichés and it’s a thin red line between super rad and super whack. Especially when there are no skinheads in the band, haha. But not with Shaved for Battle! Those guys look legit and the songs on this album rule! The vocals remind me of Scotty-era Broken Heroes, maybe a bit over the top aka cookie monster-ish but after two songs I got used to it. The guitar sound is very clean and more late 70s bootboy rock‘n‘roll style than the typical US Oi! that uses more hardcore influences. But what really gets me are the lyrics: great words about loudmouth (at least online) fresh cuts, left and right wing losers, junkies and low-lifes and media whores. This is fun to listen to, I hope they make it over the pond someday.

This german reissue comes with different artwork, that looks way better than the cover of the first pressing. 330 copies made on black vinyl.
