  • Products description

'Ein Gedachtnis Rollt Sich Auf Der Zunge Aus' is Robert Pawliczek and Robert Schwarz's debut album together, but both artists have been active on the Euro arts scene for a minute. Schwartz has a background in experimental music and architecture and is the co-founder of Vienna's PARKEN festival, Pawliczek meanwhile is a conceptual artist an musician who's worked with bands Bobby Would, Heavy Metal, Itchy Bugger and Pitva.Pawliczek and Schwarz make a convincing noise on their first full-length, twinning the deadpan urgency of gritty post-punk innovators D.A.F. with the DIY slither of Oppenheimer Analysis and the oppressive mood of Cold Cave's scratchy early experiments. As the album drips from the bright, electro snap of 'Die Kassette' into the doomy 'Das Parkett' and '1999', it begins to enter its own unique universe, sounding like a home-dubbed tape of countless John Peel shows playing over each other. Murky, saturated and brilliant.
